The inaugural HQR Summer Ball took place in June 2016 and achieved an attendance of 660 representatives across the HQR London residential sector, who together helped us to smash our charitable target of £30,000, by raising a fantastic £54,300 for our two chosen charities; The Lighthouse Club and The Teenage Cancer Trust.
The decision to repeat the event in 2017 was therefore made easy and having formally established HQR
London as a Charitable Trust, Saturday, 17th June 2017 saw the second HQR Summer Ball beat the records set by the previous years’ event. Not only were there an increased number of 750 guests filling The Great Room at The Grosvenor House Hotel, but the amazing raffle prizes and auction lots donated by the generous companies attending, meant that an incredible £105,900 was raised for this year’s charities; The Lighthouse Club and YoungMinds. In addition, an impromptu collection was held for the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy and for the brave firefighters who risked their lives to save others and this raised a further £8,000. A great night was had by all who attended, ending with a packed dance floor as live band, Hand Fulla Soul, and then a DJ took the event through to a 1.00am finish.
