As well as a networking opportunity for all members of the London HQR market, and in keeping with the corporate social responsibility and charitable nature of our industry, the HQR Summer Ball will also raise funds for people less fortunate than ourselves. A charitable donation forms part of your table cost and there will be a charitable theme to the evening itself, by way of a raffle and auction.
In terms of charitable endeavour and with your help, the evening is targeted to raise a minimum of £55,000.
The two chosen charities for the evening who will benefit from a 50/50 split of any money raised are;
A construction industry charity which provides financial assistance, welfare and wellbeing advice and emotional and legal support to the Construction Community to relieve hardship and stress. The charity also promotes initiatives aimed at avoiding accidents and improving safety on site and support including educational initiatives aimed at improving employment conditions and career opportunities within the construction industry.
YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by experience, they campaign, research and influence policy and practice.
75% of enduring mental health problems begin by the age of 18 however, Children’s mental health is only allocated 0.6% of the NHS budget – despite evidence showing that early intervention diminishes the long term impact of mental illness in terms of severity, endurance and physical health problems.
The good news is that things are changing. Things are getting better. With your help YoungMinds can change things faster; and make it much, much better. Today.
